Guests are not to arrive no earlier than 8am Friday May 23, 2025.
Camping starts Friday, May 23rd at 8am thru Monday, May 26th at 3pm
Camping is primitive. RV’s and tents welcome.
Camping is first come first serve. Come early and get a prime spot.
Camping is limited to 600 people.
Generators are welcome and a must for power.
Fire pits must be raised and off the ground.
REMINDER: THERE IS NO NIGHT RIDING PERMITTED AT FRO. ALL VEHICLES MUST BE PARKED BY 8PM. ANYONE CAUGHT RIDING AFTER 8PM WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PARK IMMEDIATELY, NO REFUND, AND WILL LOSE RIDING PRIVILEGES AT FRO.
Campground Rules & Regulations
*Everyone must check in at FRO office for camping. Violation of any rule or regulation will result in immediate and/or permanent dismissal from Famous Reading Outdoors with no refunds.
- Each FRO Passholder must wear or have in their possession a their FRO pass while on or accessing the FRO trails and facilities.
- FRO Passholders must ride on “marked trails only.” Anyone caught riding on un-marked trails will have riding privileges suspended and/or revoked permanently with no refund.
- No littering on trails, campground or tent locations. “Pack out what you pack in.”
- All OHV riders must operate in a safe and controlled manner respecting the rights of others using the trails and facilities. Anyone riding in an unsafe manner, damaging the property, or risking the safety of others may have riding privileges temporarily or permanently suspended/revoked.
- ATV Riders must meet manufacturers’ minimum age and safety requirements.
- All ATV, MX, SXS, and all other OHV are required to wear a helmet at all times!
- Any rules/regulations not included above, implemented at a later date, and posted in the main office to include verbal and nonverbal directives given by FRO staff must be adhered to without exception.
- FRO Passholders must conduct all activities on all the land both owned, nonowned, leased, and/or managed with the utmost caution exercising responsible behavior and with utmost care and respect of the community, environment, and wildlife and in full compliance with all applicable laws of the State of Pennsylvania now existing or hereafter enacted, and all the rules and regulations promulgated herein.
*FRO hereby reserves the exclusive right to temporarily or permanently suspend or revoke the rights of use granted, as evidenced by possession of a FRO Pass, to any individual or individuals with or without notice. **

Check in procedure is – You and your party must all check in at the office upon arrival. Everyone MUST be a FRO member. Staff will ask to see you FRO pass and ID at check-in.
Check out procedure is – Clean-up your site, drop your garbage in the dumpster provided and have a safe trip home.
We know you are excited to get out and ride but hold back on the temptation to pull off the trailer and whip a donut, or, power slides, hole shots, wheelies, racing, and any other movement of your OHV that is beyond 1st gear idle will not be tolerated and are grounds for immediate dismissal for the campground without refund.
General Rules
- Speed Limit - is 5 MPH in ENTIRE CAMPGROUND.
- The Campground area is part of FRO. Remember you must always abide by FRO rules when on the trail. Make sure to give yourself enough time to get back to camp before the trails close. There is ABSOLUTELY no night riding. If you are found to be riding after park hours you will be asked to leave immediately WITH NO REFUND and your membership will be revoked.
- We are a family friendly Campground. No one wants to have stones thrown on their children, their camper, or any other property. Power slides, hole shots, wheelies, racing, and any other movement of your OHV that is beyond 1st gear idle will not be tolerated and are grounds for immediate dismissal for the campground without refund! THIS RULE IS STRICLY ENFORCED!
- The campground to FRO traffic must enter and exit through the main trailhead gate! No other trail access is approved currently. Anyone entering the FRO trail system after hours, or without an FRO pass, or through any other means, will be in violation of the law and subject to criminal prosecution.
- Helmets– Anyone operating a non-DOT manufactured vehicle, is required to wear a helmet at all times. This rule applies to all OHVs
- OHVs – are defined as any motor driven vehicle designed for Off Highway Use. ATV, UTV, SXS (side by side) MX, Dirt bike, Sand rail, Dune Buggy, etc. DO NOT USE your OHV as a mode of transportation within the campground.
- OHV Traffic is limited for travel from your campsite to the FRO trails ONLY! Do not use your OHV for travel around the campgrounds. All OHVs shall be parked when the FRO has ended operations for that day.
- Quiet Time - is 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM Daily. Holiday weekends are 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM. All children must be with parents at campsite by 10:00 PM. Radios at TVs should not be heard beyond your site. No loud gatherings or parties at your site. There are areas available for large gatherings, inquire with management. Please be considerate of your neighbors. We just ask that if you show up late, to not fire up your race bike, or your truck with open headers! Quiet time is 10 PM.
- Camp Fires - must be in the rings provided. NEVER leave a fire unattended and extinguish before turning in for the night or leaving campground.
- There is NO cutting of standing trees or branches permitted on campground or neighbor’s property. Anyone that cuts any tree, sapling, or brush, will be arrested, fined, and banned from the campground and the AOAA for life!
- PA state law bans moving firewood from other states due to insects.
- NO PALLETS/ Construction lumber!!!
- NO CHAINSAWS!!!
- Campfires are only permitted in designated areas and are subject to restrictions by owners, management, and governmental entities.
- Adults - in accounting for campsite occupancy, are defined as anyone 16 years and older.
- Children - Parents are responsible for children at all times. Please do not leave children unattended.
- Pets - are permitted at site. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your pet. Do not leave animals unattended. Dogs are personal property, and owners are responsible for damages caused by their dog.
- If you have a reactive, or aggressive dog we suggest that you leave them at home. If your dog poses a risk to staff or other campers, you will be asked to leave the campground.
- Consuming any alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs or being under the influence of alcohol and/or illegal drugs is prohibited.
- NOTE: PA Law – You can be charged with a DUI anywhere in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, not just on the streets. This includes on a bicycle.
- Firearms & Fireworks - are PROHIBITED in campground. This includes all types of guns, BB guns, paintball guns, etc. Fireworks are not permitted.
- Disruptive Behavior - If the police are called by the management or another camper, due to disruptive behavior, this camper or campers will be immediately required to leave the campground. There will be no refunds to any person in this situation. Please do not put yourselves and management in this situation.
- Insurance/Theft - We are not responsible in the case of theft of RV or contents thereof; nor for any damage caused by natural causes (i.e. tree falling); nor for spoilage of refrigerator/freezer foods due to loss of electricity. All activities in the campground are done at the individual’s free will and Famous Reading Outdoors LLC, will not be responsible for injury to guests or for loss of money/valuables of any kind.
- You are entering a natural and wild area, by your own free will. Famous Reading Outdoors LLC, will not be responsible for injury to guests. Hazards include, but are not limited to: rocks, trees, stumps, insects, wildlife, areas under construction, falling limbs, items left by other campers.
- No Smoking in campground areas.
- Anyone making their own access point to the park will forfeit Campground and FRO privileges without refund! NO EXCEPTIONS
- Trash - you can dispose of your trash at the dumpster in the parking lot. Anyone leaving garbage in their site will not be allowed to return.
- Trees- Do not attach anything to the trees in and around your site. The trees here are very sustitable to damage.
- Water Usage - Washing of cars, OHVs and RVs is prohibited.
- By accepting these rules and policies, you are responsible for all persons in your party or group. Violations of policies by one of guests will result the same as if you did it yourself.
- Single Sites are limited to One (1) truck, one (1) camper or enclosed trailer, and one (1) tent per site. Or two (2) trucks and two tents.
- Anyone parking in the campground must have FRO pass displayed and visible from vehicle. Failure to comply will result in towing of said vehicle at owners expense.
- All extra vehicles must park in the overflow/visitor parking area. No Parking in open sites or along the roads.
- Drones or any unmanned aircraft are not allowed in the campground.
- RC cars are not permitted anywhere in the campground.
- All vehicles, cars, trucks, jeeps, ATV, UTV, SXS etc. must stay on the roads and sites. We are restoring the natural areas between the campsites. Anyone that drives or rides thru these areas will be asked to leave the campground.
- Electric driven bikes, unicycles and scooters are prohibited in the campground.
- The only approved entry to the trail system is thru the FRO trailhead gate.
- FRO is moving towards dark-sky compliance. When entering, low beams only turn off all auxiliary lighting that casts light beyond the vehicle.
- In the sites: Keep all lights low lumen and warm temperature.
- Work lights, lanterns, lights that cast into other sites are not permitted.
- Turn off vehicle headlights as soon as the vehicle is no longer in motion, do not use
